Some typical complaints of vehicles with a 4R44E, 4R55E, 5R44E & 5R55E transmission are soft shifts, delayed reverse, poor modulator control, and/or low line pressure in forward and reverse. A worn boost sleeve contributes to these complaints. Reverse and/or TV (EPC) pressure will be allowed to cross leak or exhaust. Sonnax now has a replacement boost valve kit 37947-01K for these transmissions.
