The OEM aluminum governor valves in Chrysler RWD units become worn because the soft-coat anodizing wears off. The valve is not being optimally supported in the bore because the OE valve land is narrow. Sonnax replacement governor valve 12802-01 has been improved over the OEM version in both material and configuration and allows the rebuilder to salvage governors with a worn-out aluminum primary valve. Features & Benefits: The replacement governor valve is hard-coat anodized for better wear resistance than the OE valve. Includes longer valve land for better support to reduce bore wear and maintain shifting consistency. Replacement governor valve will salvage governors with a worn aluminum primary governor valve. Valve can also be installed into new governor bodies to prevent future wear from occurring. Use of this valve will not change shift timing/governor pressure from OE calibration.
