This master rebuild kit includes:

• Full Transtec overhaul gasket set
• All BorgWarner friction clutch plates
• New fluid filter

The Transtec gasket set included in this overhaul banner box kit is the highest quality available. The set includes every rubber seal, paper gasket, O-ring, sealing rings, and metal clad seals that you will need to complete your rebuild. Remember to soak all of your clutches in transmission fluid for thirty minutes before you install them.

The 700-R4 and its variants were in production from 1982-1993 and can be identified by the square, 16 bolt oil pan and 4 forward gears.  1992-1993 are cross-over years.  If you are unsure of your model, the 700R4 will have a square wire plug with 2-4 wires, which are only for the lockup in the torque converter.

The TH700-R4 was found in the full range of General Motors vehicles including, Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac.
