New aluminum accumulator piston for the GM TH400 automatic transmission.
Stock, these transmissions had plastic pistons that break, which can burn up your transmission. This updated aluminum piston solves this problem.
This piston is recommended when doing any shift kit, or rebuilding the transmission. The valve body does have to come out for this to be installed.
This item works with all GM, GMC, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac models.
